About Pixveil
A free set of browser-based image tools and calculators — built by one person who got tired of paying for things that should be simple.
Pixveil started with a small annoyance. I needed to shrink a photo under 200 KB for a job application, and the first three websites I tried either slapped a watermark on the result, asked me to create an account, or made me wait while my picture uploaded to a server I knew nothing about. It felt backwards. Resizing an image is a five-second job, so why did it involve handing my personal photo to a stranger?
That afternoon I built the first version of what became Pixveil: a single web page that compressed an image right inside the browser, with nothing leaving the computer. It worked, it was fast, and it was genuinely free. Over the following months that one tool grew into the suite you see today — image converters, compressors, resizers, editors, and a growing set of everyday calculators.
What Pixveil actually is
Pixveil is a collection of small, single-purpose web tools that run entirely in your browser. There is no app to install and no account to make. When you compress a JPG, convert a HEIC photo from your iPhone, remove a background, or work out your take-home pay, all of the processing happens on your own device using standard web technology (the HTML5 Canvas and File APIs). Your files are never sent to a server, because there is no server doing the work.
This design choice shapes everything. It keeps the tools fast, since there is no upload step and no queue. It keeps them private, because we literally cannot see the images you work on. And it keeps them free, because we are not paying to store or process your data.
Who I built it for
Pixveil is aimed at people who need to get something done quickly and move on: a student compressing a scanned assignment before an upload deadline, a small-business owner preparing product photos, a freelancer resizing a client graphic for Instagram, a job-seeker fitting a photo into a strict file-size limit, or a developer grabbing a favicon or a Base64 string. If you have ever thought "this should take ten seconds," you are exactly who I had in mind.
By the numbers
What I believe in
Free should mean free. No trial timers, no "3 uses then pay," no premium tier hiding the useful features. If a tool exists on Pixveil, you can use it as often as you like at no cost, for personal or commercial work.
No dark patterns. You will not find fake download buttons, forced pop-ups, or a wall asking you to register before you can save your own file. The output you get is clean — no watermark, nothing added, nothing held back.
Privacy by design, not by promise. Plenty of sites claim to respect your privacy. Pixveil's architecture makes the claim unnecessary: since your files stay on your device, there is nothing for anyone to leak, sell, or train on.
Where it's headed
New tools get added based on what people actually ask for and search for. Recent additions include a 2026 US paycheck calculator, a sunrise and golden-hour calculator, and a full set of health and finance calculators. If there's something you wish existed, I would genuinely like to hear about it — the fastest way to reach me is admin@pixveil.app or the contact page.
Thanks for stopping by, and I hope Pixveil saves you a bit of time today.
