Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of pixveil.app and the tools, calculators, and content available on it (together, the "Service"), operated by Muhammad Nasir ("Pixveil," "we," "us," or "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. What Pixveil is

Pixveil is a free collection of browser-based utilities: image tools (compression, conversion, resizing, editing, background removal, and similar) and everyday calculators (finance, health, math, and seasonal planning tools). Every tool runs locally in your web browser using standard web technologies. There is no account, no subscription, and no upload step — the files you open and the values you enter stay on your own device.

2. No account, no charge

The Service is provided free of charge and does not require registration. We may, at our discretion, add, change, or remove tools and features at any time, and we may display advertising on the Service. We do not guarantee that any particular tool will remain available.

3. Acceptable use

You may use the Service for any lawful purpose, personal or commercial. You agree not to:

• Use the Service to create, process, or distribute content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, or that depicts the abuse or sexualisation of minors.
• Process images or documents you do not have the right to use.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, its infrastructure, or any related systems.
• Interfere with the Service's normal operation, including by introducing malware, or by automated scraping, crawling, or load-generation that places an unreasonable burden on it.
• Copy, reproduce, or republish substantial portions of the Service in order to create a competing product.
• Remove, obscure, or alter any proprietary notices on the Service.

We may restrict or block access to the Service at our discretion if we reasonably believe it is being misused.

4. Your files and your content

This is the section most sites make complicated, and in our case it is simple: because processing happens in your browser, we never receive, store, or transmit the images, documents, or values you work with. As a result:

• You retain all rights to your content. We claim no ownership or license over it whatsoever.
• We cannot access, recover, restore, or delete your files, because we never had them.
• You are solely responsible for keeping your own backups. Refreshing or closing the tab discards your work.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the legal right to process any content you use with the Service.

5. Our intellectual property

The Service — including its source code, design, layout, written guides, illustrations, the Pixveil name, and the Pixveil logo — is owned by us and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may use the Service as intended and link to it freely. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works from our code, articles, or branding without written permission. Output you generate with the tools from your own content belongs to you, not to us.

6. Calculators and guides are informational only

Our calculators and written guides — including those covering mortgages, take-home pay, loans, interest, grades, calories, and other topics — are provided for general information and educational purposes only. They use publicly available formulas and rates that may change or may not reflect your circumstances.

Nothing on the Service is financial, tax, legal, medical, or professional advice. Results are estimates, not quotes, guarantees, or professional recommendations. Always confirm important decisions with a qualified professional — a lender, tax adviser, physician, or lawyer as appropriate. See also our Disclaimer.

7. No warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free; that results will be accurate or reliable; or that any tool will work correctly with every file, browser, or device. Browser capabilities vary, and some tools may behave differently or not at all on older browsers.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pixveil and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages — including loss of data, loss of profits, loss of goodwill, or business interruption — arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Because the Service is provided free of charge, our total aggregate liability to you for any claim relating to the Service shall not exceed USD $50.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so parts of this section may not apply to you. In that case, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by applicable law.

9. Third-party links and services

The Service may link to third-party websites and may use third-party services — for example, web fonts, analytics, or advertising networks such as Google AdSense. We do not control those third parties, do not endorse them, and are not responsible for their content, practices, or policies. Their use of data is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. How third-party services interact with your data on our Service is described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Availability and changes to the Service

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice or liability. We may also change these Terms. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page, and material changes will be highlighted here for at least 30 days. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time — there is no account to close. We may restrict or terminate your access to the Service if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that harms it or its users. Sections 4 through 8, 12, and 13 survive any termination.

12. Governing law

The Service is operated from Pakistan. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Nothing in this section deprives you of the protection of mandatory consumer-protection laws of the country in which you reside.

13. Severability and entire agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will stay in full force. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Disclaimer, make up the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
