About the QR Code with Logo tool
Generate a high-resolution QR code and drop your logo in the center. We use maximum error-correction, so codes stay scannable even with a logo covering the middle.
Everything runs locally in your browser. Because no file is transmitted, there is no size limit imposed by a server and no record of what you edited.
How to use it
- Enter a URL, text, phone number or Wi-Fi details.
- Adjust size and error-correction level.
- Download the QR code as PNG or SVG.
Error correction is the setting that matters
QR codes contain redundant data so they still scan when partly damaged or obscured. Four levels exist: L recovers about 7%, M 15%, Q 25% and H 30%.
Higher correction makes the code denser but far more forgiving of poor printing, curved surfaces and dirt. For anything printed, M or Q is the sensible default; use H if you intend to place a logo in the center.
Printing and sizing
A practical rule is that the code should be at least one-tenth of the scanning distance. A code read from one meter should be around 10 cm across.
Always keep a clear white margin — the 'quiet zone' — of about four modules around the code. Scanners fail without it, and this is the single most common reason a printed QR code will not read.
Common mistakes
- Printing without a quiet zone, which stops many scanners recognizing the code.
- Making the code too small for the distance it will be scanned from.
- Inverting the colors. Most scanners expect dark on light.
Questions people ask
Do QR codes expire?
A static code contains the data itself and never expires. Only dynamic codes that redirect through a third-party service can stop working.
Can I put a logo in the middle?
Yes, with error correction set to H. Keep the logo under about 30% of the area.
What is the quiet zone?
The blank margin around the code. Roughly four modules of clear space is required for reliable scanning.
